"Here a second time: it's still expensive and the portions are on the smaller side, but the freshness and quality of ingredients still shine through. The sashimi platter had great fresh tasting portions of fish. The other cooked dishes had nice but not overpowering flavours and were nicely made and very well presented. A minor gripe was that we booked a table and we're still waiting 20 minutes to get a seat Original review (4stars): Very nicely presented but a tad small portions"

"This was my second visit to this Japanese restaurant, and it didn’t disappoint. The pork katsu was even better this time when I ordered it without curry. The tempura prawn was also impressive and definitely worth trying. The place was quite crowded on both visits, so I recommend booking a table in advance. Free onsite parking"

"Yum yum in your tum tum. Nice little atmosphere (a cute little Japanese restaurant) and they had a wide variety of food from bento sets to don bowls to sushi and sides. The food was great too. I got a chicken katsu don and it was delicious- perfectly crispy and a good amount of sauce too! Presentation of all the food was also great. The store itself was very cute and homely and they sold little Japanese soft drinks too. Service was decent. I think the small size of the shop makes it a little bit difficult to navigate around without accidentally hitting people with dishes. The staff, however, were very friendly and hospitable overall :) I would highly recommend!!!"

"A humble restaurant situated at Sunnybank but away from the hustle and bustle of the more populated areas. The menu is Japanese inspired and original; but I'm quite confident they are run by a passionate Taiwanese team. Good quality food but the flavours could be improved if compared to Kakuson, etc. The only thing is the waiting times - it's extraordinarily longer than usual. That, puts people off. Otherwise, it's a place to visit for quite decent Japanese food. Plenty of parking in the precinct. Was"

"Absolutely fantastic. Feels very much like restaurants in Japan, all the food was high quality, extremely delicious and beautifully presented. Everything was made fresh. We waited a while for food, however they were very busy and had only just opened! Regardless highly recommend a visit, worth the drive from Brisbane if you're not a Sunnybank local. Based on the number of people there (full!) I would recommend making a reservation to avoid waiting. The only downside is there are no dessert options, but there's some good spots nearby if you're after dessert!"

"It seems like this place is connected to the one right across from it. The menu is extremely simple – once you order the first set, you’ve basically had everything. You’ll understand once you’re there. Perfect for a solo lunch – try it once and you’ve pretty much tasted the whole menu. The only reason I might come back is if I’m bringing kids for a quick, clean, and quiet meal. Flavors are very standard and safe – nothing surprising, but also nothing wrong. Still, I’d say it’s worth trying at least once."

"We had pork katsu curry and sashimi. The pork was nice, the curry was extremely hot. We enjoyed the sashimi. I appreciate that the sashimi is cold and sweet. The soy sauce is nice too. The scallop is creamy and sweet. I would like to know what the white and light pink colour fish is? It's very tasty. Next to salmon and behind the red and white triangle."

"One of my favorite Japanese restaurants is a place I often visit. I absolutely adore their raw fish rice bowl. The great news is that the restaurant has recently relocated to a new spot right across from the old location and is now called Kanpai Izakaya. The quality of the food remains just as fantastic as it was before. Thankfully, it was open on Anzac Day, which was a pleasant surprise!"
